No it's not me!...it's my financially intelligent dog, Frank. He's prettier than me, so I used his picture.

New Tricks
Teaching an old dog new tricks can be taxing...just remembering all the different passwords required for all the different software is a memory chore my brain doesn't handle well. I did upload pictures from Justin's 16th birthday into Flickr and I created a "mashup" of a librarian trading card. But now, I'm not sure what to do with the latter and if I can ever find the Flickr birthday pictures again. If I do, I'll send a note to Justin's aunt to look at them.

July 2 - Another brief message
Well, it looks like I have a real blog going. I even entered some info into my profile. But, not too much. This is my first blog. However, I have followed my son's blog and a friend's blog. It has helped me keep up with what's going on in their lives. I haven't had the need to record my thoughts and activities, but I guess it is one way to learn new technology. I'm still struggling with how a blog fits in with my professional activities...but, there must be some use. Maybe we can start a SBIC Business Blog where we comment on business ideas, issues, etc.

In the beginning...
...there were words; and the words were written on papyrus and then printed on paper and now the words are digitized on computers. But, whether on papyrus, paper, or a computer, they still are words, and they still convey meaning, and they still are the building blocks of information. Information leads to learning. We used to learn from books. Now, we learn from the computer. Both books and computers provide information. Both house the words that make up the knowledge that we seek to learn.
